How laser hair removal works

First the hair is destroyed from underneath the skin, and sheds out completely. Afterwards the skin pores close leaving smooth, soft skin. Laser hair removal applies precisely controlled pulses of concentrated light to the hair follicles that lie beneath the skin. During a laser session, the laser emits light energy to follicular structures, thereby injuring the hair follicle with heat and reducing the ability for it to produce a hair. The technical objective is to destroy the hair follicle by heating it to a high enough temperature without damaging the surrounding tissue. Since not all of the hair follicles produce hair at the same time, multiple treatments are required to effectively treat all the growth cycles. During the procedure a laser pule emits a controlled amount of laser lighting into each hair and safely damages the follicles in the target area to prevent future hair growth.
