PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a natural rejuvenation treatment that uses your body’s own healing power to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, and restore youthful glow. By drawing a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge, we isolate plasma rich in growth factors — then reintroduce it to targeted areas of the face or scalp. At Elite Beauty Medi Spa, PRP is often used for facial rejuvenation, under-eye hollows, acne scarring, and even hair restoration

Pre-Care

Treatment Overview & Expectations

PRP is a natural regenerative treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate healing, collagen production, and tissue regeneration. A small blood sample is collected, processed to concentrate growth factors, and re-injected into the treatment area. PRP can be used for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and tissue repair. Results vary between individuals, and multiple sessions may be required for optimal outcomes.

Medical Conditions & Contraindications

PRP is not suitable for patients with impaired immune systems, active infections, certain skin conditions or cancers, blood disorders, platelet abnormalities, or those undergoing chemotherapy. Patients on anticoagulation therapy or systemic steroids must inform their provider. PRP is not recommended during pregnancy. Treatment should be postponed if there are active cold sores, infections, or irritation in the treatment area.

Medications, Supplements & Fish Oil

Avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, and other NSAIDs for at least one week prior to treatment. Discontinue blood-thinning supplements including Fish Oil, Omega-3, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, garlic, ginkgo biloba, flax oil, cod liver oil, and other essential fatty acids for at least 7 to 14 days before treatment. Avoid steroid medications and injections as advised by your provider. Always consult your physician before stopping prescribed medications. Tylenol may be used if needed.

Lifestyle & Preparation

Stay well hydrated, eat balanced meals, and maintain good nutrition prior to treatment. Avoid alcohol, smoking, and excessive caffeine for at least 2 to 3 days before your session. Smoking can impair healing and reduce treatment effectiveness. Avoid excessive sun or heat exposure prior to treatment.

Skin, Hair & Hygiene Preparation

Arrive with clean skin or scalp on the day of treatment. Do not apply makeup, lotions, oils, creams, or hair products in the treatment area. For hair PRP, wash your hair thoroughly before your appointment and avoid styling products.

Day of Treatment & Procedure

On the day of your treatment, eat a full meal and stay hydrated. A small amount of blood will be drawn and processed using a centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich plasma, which will then be injected into the targeted area. The procedure is performed in-office and is generally well tolerated. You may feel mild discomfort, pressure, or sensitivity during the injections. If you feel lightheaded at any time, inform your provider. Individual results may vary. By booking or proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge that outcomes are not guaranteed and depend on individual factors, as well as adherence to pre and post care instructions.
